BOTH Regency Attire & 1860's Attire is Welcome for Tea
We Do Require Period Attire for Tea ~ and there is so much to choose!
Some of our guests will be arriving from the Parade with Bonnets & coats, or uniforms, or recently arriving to attend the evening's Regency Ball! There are so many answers to this simple question.
Many of our guests will wearing their 1850's & 1860's attire which is perfect for Tea. And this is a Public Tea which is a little different than most persons would be attending in the 1860's. But say we are attending a fundraising Tea or a Congregational Tea, we would have people from many walks of life attending together dressed in many different modes of dress. Uniforms are welcome as are civilian wear for gentlemen. Ladies wearing country clothing that have walked into town for the day's activities as well as local citizens wearing either their regular mode of dress, patriotic dress or their best dress. And as we are welcoming those who have traveled to Gettysburg to mark the 250th Birthday Anniversary of one of the most beloved English writers.
