What do I wear to the Ball?

or Ladies:
1850'S-1860's Period dress is required for the evening for the enjoyment of all guests.
Ballgowns are preferred. Evening and dinner gowns are appropriate. Finer Day dresses are acceptable. "Camp" wear is out of place in the ballroom. White cotton or leather wrist length gloves are expected in the ballroom. Floral, flowers and lace is often worn as hair adornment. Hats and bonnets are not worn into the ballroom. A cloakroom is available for outerwear.

For Gentlemen:
1860's Military in all branches of service and we often have foreign forces join our evening event and are welcome as well.
Men's Civilian 1850's - 1860's clothing is welcome in our ballroom. Formal tuxedos for men are welcome as are kilts.White gloves, cotton or leather should be worn. Headwear is not worn in the ballroom. A coat room is available for headwear, coats and cloaks.
Children:
Must be over the age of 12 + accompanied by a parent. Children must be appropriately dressed in period attire, no tennis shoes, sneakers or modern apparel please.

- We understand that some women are new to reenacting and may be dressed in less formal 1860's attire, please graciously welcome them to the wonderful activity of Living History and Reenacting as they are learning.
